Water for Tomorrow
East of England Pilot Sites
Suffolk FWAG is one of the partners working on delivering workable, nature based solutions for Suffolk.
We are working with the Environment Agency on monitoring and recording data within the Yox Valley catchment – using soil probes and rain simulators to capture live, dynamic movement of water within the area. This will assist us in targeting land based management strategies to secure water for tomorrow in an area that as yet, does not rely on irrigation.
Anna Beames and Huw Richards discuss in the link below the pressures on water supplies in East Suffolk, and what part regenerative practices and better soil management can play in building resilience to a future with less water.
